MEMORABLE place – In The Company of Granda

Tracing back the steps we used to take together visiting towns within Fife and the outskirts. We would take pieces on cold meat and bottles of Irn-Bru for the journey and we would stop at beaches, visit the little shops in the small towns, go putting on the Himalayas in St.Andrews.

In the car we would be listening to Dr.Hook, Roy Orbison, Kenny Rodgers, Connie Francis, Louis Armstrong, Buddy Holly, Neil Diamond and The Monkees on his old tapes.

When visiting charity shops he would always be delighted at getting 5 old VHS tapes for £1. He would often get all his messages whilst out too ‘the good butchers’ in St. Andrews has the best of the best.. Its expensive but you get a good Madeira cake!

He would always make sure he had a light jacket and his bunnet with him. Now that he is older his jackets are getting heavier and a wooly hat is the better option, he also needs his walking stick.
